Venetian Glass Contemporary Heart Pendant

Venetian Glass Contemporary Heart Pendant with Hand Forged Silver Bail hanging with a hand dyed Silk Ribbon.

I have taken many colors of Venetian Glass and melted them together for a new look on the universal sign for love.

Into the hearts I add different assortments of silver, gold, dichroic glass and other elements I pre make. This presents a layered 3 dimensional look, a look that is truly one of a kind.

Glass hearts measure about 2 inch.

Using a heavy 14 gauge silver wire I make a bail to fit the glass heart. I then fit the bail to the glass pendant. Bail large enough to fit most silver and gold necklaces.

To compliment this glass heart I have added a 40 inch silk hand dyed ribbon.
I purchased these ribbons from an artist named Marsha Neal.

I have been melting glass since 1993 and playing with metals before that.
