I am one of the veteran Glass Beadmakers/Lampwork Artists. I have been making glass beads, glass lamp finial and glass cabinet knobs/pulls 1 glass bauble at a time since
1993. This is when the glass movement, lampwork/flamework in particular, was introduced to the USA. Glass Beadmaking BURST! I have been teaching since the beginning.
Hundreds of students have passed through my studio from all over the country. I introduced this ancient technique of melting glass known as Lampwork to all the local art schools
including the well known Boston Center for Adult Ed in the Back Bay and the Sandwich Glass Museum to name a few.
In addition to melting glass I practice metalsmithing used among other things to enhance my jewelry designs, fiber arts, drawing and painting and any other medium I can get my hands on! I was a student for years at BCAE. My teacher was the most amazing Goldsmith named Robert Emin. Kristina Logan is the artist that introduced me to Lampwork. So very very talented are these artists. I am so grateful to all the teachers and students. I learn much from both.
I will add more of my resume and cleverness soon along with more art work. In the meantime the following are a few reviews from my Etsy Store.
Thanx for stopping by!

~What a truly wonderful piece of art! The item arrived safely (read: in one piece, undamaged), on-time, and the communication post-sale from the shop was awesome. Marj is truly a skilled lamp work artist. The finial we bought was well-worth the money; truly a value.
